Cross Country Announces 2025 Rosters and Schedule

BATTLE CREEK -- Head coach Tom Shaw and the Kellogg Community College men's and women's cross country programs have announced their schedules and rosters for the upcoming 2025 season.  The Bruins are set to race in a total of four regular season meets, including two MCCAA league contests. Rounding out their schedule, the Bruins will race in the NJCAA Region XII Championship at the end of October.

The women's cross country team returns two sophomores from last year's Region 12 Champion and National Championship 7th place team – Chloe Badger and Olivia Bulter. Incoming freshmen include Alicyn Gleesing, Elayna Guadamuz, Jenna Lumsden, Emma Taggett, and Madeline Wiersma. Coach Shaw noted, "KCC continues to improve as a team year after year. The caliber and depth of the incoming runners will allow us to have the talent to improve from the 7th place team finish nationally last season. So far, the team is bonding and working hard and I think we are set up to have a great year with our women's team."

The men's cross country team returns three sophomores from last year's Region 12 Champion and National Championship 5th place team, Carson Lenzinger, Zach Regis, and All-American Julian Borst. Incoming freshmen include Jonah Bills, Ezra McCarty, Cameron McKee, Eliott Ormsby, Adrian Sanglyen, and Carter Stevens. Coach Shaw noted, "The men's team is ready for a big jump from their 5thplace finish nationally last season. Our team goals are lofty, and the key is to work hard, keep focused and stay healthy. Our depth allows us to be hopeful and so far, the men's team is hungry for success."

The Bruins will compete at four regular season meets – one in August, two in September, and one in October. In addition, they will race at the NJCAA Region XII Championship on October 24th. Following the conclusion of the Region XII meet, all individuals or teams that qualify for the NJCAA National Championship will travel to Fort Dodge, IA to compete in the championship race on November 8th.
