Men's XC Qualifies for Nationals
The KCC men's cross country team entered their second race of the season against a small race field but a powerhouse field (NCAA DII, NAIA ranked, and NCAA DIII ranked teams in the field). The Bruins had 6 of 9 runners improved their time form their last race, qualifying for the NJCAA National Championship as a team in this race.
Several personal records (PRs) were found on the course. Freshman Carter Stevens (Galesburg-Augusta HS), Freshman Ezra McCarty (Battle Creek Lakeview HS), and Freshman Adrian Sanglyen (Battle Creek Lakeview HS) all clocked PRs in the race. 2024 All-American sophomore Julian Borst (Loy Norrix HS) led the Bruins with a time of 27:29. Freshman Jonah Bills (Battle Creek Lakeview HS) finished his first race of the season with a NJCAA National Championship Qualifying time of 28:49. The men qualified for the NJCAA National Championship as a team in this race.
