Women's Basketball Splits the Week

The Kellogg Community College women's basketball team hosted two games in the Miller Gym this week: Kirtland Community College on Jan. 7th and Grand Rapids Community College on January 10th. The Bruins split the week, taking down the Firebirds and falling to the Raiders.

Kirtland | W, 74-42

Head Coach James Moore said, "Tonight was an absolutely balanced and team victory led by Crowley's 24 points and 7 Rebs, an unblemished performance from the field of 19 points by McCray, along with McCavit's 13 pts, and 10 Rebs."

GRCC | L, 84-52

Head Coach James Moore said, "Our Lady Bruins matched GRCC efforts in the second half but it wasn't enough. 52 points in a half during conference is just too much. But to our ladies' credit they didn't fold and they showed much better effort in the second half."

Next up, Bruins travel to Southwestern Michigan College on January 14 with a 5:30pm tipoff.
