Volleyball Splits at Opening Weekend Tournament

The Kellogg Community College volleyball team traveled to the Opening Weekend Tournament from August 22-24, 2025. The Bruins went 2-2 in to open their season against quality opponents in Rockford, IL!

Head Coach Judy Mason said, "Bruins traveled to Chicago, worked hard and came away 2-2 overall. Our first game on Friday was a challenge, and we battled with Harper. We just couldn't quite get them. Game two we had a chance to figure things out and we're feeling good about the results - finishing the day sweeping Blackhawk Tech. We split our games on Sunday, learned a lot this weekend and look forward to using this to keep progressing and growing. We have another chance to get better when we travel to Schoolcraft for a Tri later this week."

Next up, Bruins travel to Schoolcraft College on Thursday, August 28 for two games.
