Women's XC 4th at MCCAA Western Conference Meet
The KCC women's cross country team team ran on a hard, technical and very hilly course for the MCCAA Western Conference Meet on Friday, September 26. The temperature was hot for this time of the year to add to the difficult race course today.
Overall, the team finished 4 of 6 teams. In fact, the overall times for the entire field was probably 1minute, 15 seconds slow. Freshman Alicyn Gleesing ran a tremendous race today, finishing 2nd overall in this MCCAA Western Conference race. She earned All-Conference and All-Freshman honors. Freshman Emma Taggett also received All-Conference honors with her 12th place finish. Another notable race was run by Freshman Jenna Lumsden on this tough course.
Times:
- Alicyn Gleesing 21:03 (2nd)
- Emma Taggett 22:33 (12th)
- Elayna Guadamuz 23:55 (19th)
- Olivia Butler 25:35 (27th)
- Jenna Lumsden 25:59 (29th)
- Chloe Badger (DNR)
We are looking forward to the Bruins' next race, in hopefully cooler temperatures, as they run at the Muskegon Jayhawk invite in two weeks.
