The DII #19 Kellogg Community College soccer team traveled to DIII #1 Delta College on Wednesday, September 3 to kick off conference play. The Bruins battled for all 90 minutes, falling by just one goal.

Head Coach Levi Butcher said, "The result wasn't what we had hoped for today, but Delta is a great team, and we worked exceptionally hard to make their life difficult. These top of the table matchups usually come with added pressure, and our players seemed to deal with it well. Delta attacks wave after wave, and we knew we'd be tested today. It was good to see that we stuck together, even in the difficult moments, and gave ourselves some chances to go and level the score late in the match."
